The construction of Plastics Technology Centre started in February 1987 and was operational since October 1988 having plastics processing equipment like Extruders. Injection molders, Blow molders. Blown film units (single and 3 layer). The laboratory was also setup with testing equipment.
At present the processing equipment, laboratories and lecture rooms were spread over a built-up area of 80.000 sq. ft. (7,500 sq. m) which comprises of two multistory blocks.
