Programs Offered

PNWC provides variety of higher-minded courses that target leadership, command at operations and planning at strategic levels amongst mid-career and upper level naval officers. Its main course is the Pakistan Navy Staff Course (PNSC) that takes almost a year and is concluded with a Master of War Studies (Maritime) offered by NDU. The programme is composed of professional modules, war-gaming activities, strategic research, study tours. Further, the college maintains a Correspondence Staff Course of distance learning and other specialized, short-term courses such as the Executive Leadership and the Junior Officers courses. These integrate both theoretical studies and practical duties in order to train the officers to a higher rank of command.

Facilities & Activities

The campus of the Pakistan Navy war college is modern and it has technologically advanced re-creational and academic facilities. These are smart classrooms, syndicate rooms, a digital war-gaming lab and a well-established library with thousands of traditional and digital materials. The physical well-being is taken care of within the campus areas which have gyms, sports complexes and a riding club. There is also family friendly areas that incorporate a medical centre and a children library. Besides study, PNWC also conducts Maritime Security Workshops and study tours (inland and international), and cultural events each year; all of which keeps the learning experience holistic with both intellectual as well as interpersonal interactions between the officers and their families.
