Academic Programs Offered

PFI provides a wide choice of academic programs and produces Bachelors, Masters, and future PhDs in Forestry, Wildlife Management, and Environmental Science. Students are taught the necessary theoretical concepts together with the necessary practical experience by virtue of classroom learning and hands-on experience. Students and research various projects, intern and work on projects and they take part in various workshops that enable them to practice what they learn in their classes. Institute prides itself in practicing sustainability and seeks to inculcate understanding of ecological systems among the learners.

The distinguishing features for the PFIs include modern and well-equipped laboratories, a sophisticated library and forest processing facilities, and access to a vast number of forest tracts for live practical experience. The faculty is composed of highly qualified individuals devoted to helping students learn and develop and to producing research to enhance the practice of forestry and environmental preservation. PFI is associated with several national and international organizations in doing research and raising public consciousness about the protection of forests. Overall, for being an institute, it aims to achieve several aims and objectives positive to the environmental setting of Pakistan along with the sustainable use of natural resources.
