Nishtar Medical College Multan Admissions

Nishtar Medical College at Multan is one of the oldest and most prestigious medical colleges in Pakistan that has always tried to maintain quality education standards and health care. It was established in 1951, accredited with the University of Health Sciences, Lahore and recognized by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council, PMDC. The college offers both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in a field of medicine; thus, it offers the student a good grounding and practical training in clinical and theoretical aspects of the subject.

Requisite for Admission and Qualification

The study was conducted at Nishtar Medical College and being a medical college, student enrolment is highly competitive and admission is based on academic merit. For the MBBS program, The candidate should have done FSc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent qualification with 70% of marks. Applicants are supposed to attempt the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) which is compulsory entrance test held by UHS. The criterion of selection is the cumulative score calculated from FSc, MDCAT, and students’ interviews. The college also provide quotas based on the regions and number of sponsored students from the less privileged regions in the country also benefit from reserved seats.

Application Procedure

NMC usually starts its admission process in October with forms being downloaded from the UHS website. Candidates are required to fill their applications online and attach relevant documents such as marks sheet, MDCAT, and any ID proof. NMC normally sets fairly tight time schedules for application, and individuals are advised to apply early to avoid complications. After short listing students are informed for interview and other selection processes. Scholarships and financial aids are also given by NMC to qualified students, so as to give a chance to quality education to all kinds of applicaunts.
