NIBGE Faisalabad

The NIBGE situated at Faisalabad is one of the befitting research institute working under the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC). Founded in 1994, it has ambitious academic goal and state-of-the-art researches and programs in biotechnology and genetic engineering. It is a research institute offering advances in agriculture, health, the environment, and industry through an application of scientific principles. For award of MPhil and PhD degrees, NIBGE is associated with the PIEAS At present NIBGE has emerged as a Centre of Excellence for higher learning and research in Life Science?.

Academic Programs and Research

NIBGE offers programmes in the disciplines of its focus at undergraduate, MPhil/MS, and PhD degree levels. These include; Biotechnology degree, Biological science degree, and Engineering degree. These research areas are as follows: agricultural biotechnology, health biotechnology, industrial biotechnology, the environmental secrets.
