Lahore School of Public Health

Lahore School of Public Health (LSPH) is situated on the premises of Lahore Medical and Dental College. It was conceived not only as an opportunity to develop the educational direction towards provision of health and disease control but also towards the multiple facets that have bearing on the policies and management.The importance of Public Health is many times more in the 21st century compared to the previous years. The threats of new diseases, the ease of their transmission to populations around the world, bioterrorism, epidemics of severe malnutrition and obesity, maternal and child health,environmental and occupational impacts on health of the populations and the socio-political impact of policy making in countries are just round the corner.

 The responsibility of providing protection, both health-wise and financially, to the less advantaged has rapidly become an immense challenge. The health influences on populations facing various disasters is fast becoming a huge challenge at the national and international levels.
