Karachi Medical And Dental College

The Medical School which is situated in M Block of North Nazimabad (spread over 10.4 acres) was built to cater the educational needs of Pakistan’s largest industrial hub ‘Karachi.’ The state of the art built campus is equipped with modern and latest facilities, tools and techniques that can meet the teaching and demonstrating requirements. Basic Medical Science, Dental Science and Hospital Provisions are available at the KMDC in order to provide hands on learning experience to the students. Many other facilities like seminars, libraries and resource centers are provided to the students to enrich their educational experience at the KMDC. Other facilities include transportation, hostel, residence, gymnasium, prayer rooms and common rooms.

In two decades of time the College has set remarkable standards in education. The University has shown expansion and development in order to cater a larger number of students.

The campus currently has two phases: Phase I and Phase II. The phase II which was constructed in June 2002 houses all major faculties and departments. The various departments of Pharmacy, Physiology, Pathology, Bio-Chemistry and Forensics are all present under one roof at the Phase II KMDC.

The University started off with only 50 students enrolled in the MBBS and 25 enrolled in the BDS Program. The University currently enrolls 250 medical and 100 dental students per annum. Despite the spur of numerous Medical Schools and Colleges, KMDC remains a top preference for the students when it comes to medical and dental education. KMDC has carved its niche and developed a strong repute of being a highly-esteemed and prestigious institution that offers Medical and Dental Education.
