The Institute of Social Policy and Research (ISPaR) was founded by a group of PhD scholars and visionary management at Ministry of Commerce, PIFRA, PITAD, SZABIST, University of Peshawar, SDPI and GSP in response to an emergent need for various social multi-development perspectives that had been generated as aftermath of “War on Terror”.
The institute is under the authority and control of Governance & Support Programme, a registered entity under the voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Ordinance 1961 (XLVI of 1961) with registration number 3607.
It is a non-partisan policy research institute that aims to focus and promote equity, ethics and accountability through research, trainings, education and advocacy among various segments of the society including corporate and government bodies for fair distributions of opportunities and resources at local, regional and national level. The mission and vision of ISPaR are deeply embedded in the objectives that aim to provide best education based on concrete research, creating vast horizon of knowledge and learning opportunities.
ISPaR’s Mission is to conduct multidisciplinary study in social sciences and research, and propose policy implications and recommendations to public policy issues. ISPaR endeavor provides the higher degree of education and research opportunities, and fosters discussions by carrying out policy dialogues on various social issues of need-based nature.
ISPaR undertakes groundbreaking and cutting-edge research across a wide range of social policy arenas such as poverty alleviation, social injustice and inequality, gender biases and socio-economic uplift of stressed communities, and prepares its students for societal concerns and real-life challenges coming ahead.
