Like all other leading Universities, IMS advertise their admissions in national newspapers. However all open admissions and their registration dates are frequently updated at the website of the university. Although there are two academic semesters in a year, but the admissions open only once. The admissions of undergraduate and graduate level programs open for either fall or spring semester of an Academic year. Admissions will strictly be based upon Merit, and no admissions will be rejected on basis of caste, religion, region or gender.

The Admission Committee is responsible for making all decisions pertaining to education. The number of seats in each degree program are determined by the Committee. The application forms shall be carefully scrutinized by the admission Committee and the applicants are advised to provide complete and true information. All documents should be attested. In case of false, incomplete, fake or forged information the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

There is no quota system in the university.

The admission to various programs is granted when a candidate meets the eligibility criteria specified by the respective department.
