GPIW Lytton Road Lahore

GPIW established its operation in 1964 and occupies the historic Shadi Lal Building located in Lahore on Lytton Road. A part of the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) GPIW works to deliver technical and vocational education for women empowerment. All students from Lahore can easily reach the institute because it stands strategically between Babri Chowk and the Jain Mandir Metro Bus Stop. The institute exists to teach women practical abilities for their workforce contributions to both their professional and social spheres. 

Programs Offered

The Goverment Polytechnic Institute of Women delivers educational programs designed to fit multiple educational requirements. The educational courses at the intermediate level include FA along with FSc Pre-Medical along with FSc Pre-Engineering together with ICS and ICom. Bachelor's programs encompass BA, BCom, BSc, and BCS degrees. The institute delivers specialized Diplomas that include Office Management and Fashion Design Certificates for students. The curricula combine theoretical education with hands on learning which ready students for employment requirements in present day labor markets. 

Facilities & Activities

GPIW features multiple facilities which enhance student learning through well prepared laboratories and workshops as well as classrooms. As part of its holistic educational approach GPIW hosts Holy Festivities and welcome celebrations and Iqbal Day commemoration events and installs anti-corruption programs and organizes yearly athletic competitions. The annual gatherings create a united atmosphere between students which leads to their individual development.
