Govt Khawaja Rafique Shaheed College

People of Lahore remember Mr. Khawaja Rafique (a martyr) as a philanthropist and a revolutionary leader, in the name of whom this college was founded by the Government of the Punjab, under the notification number SO(Personnel) 5-49/2012 on July 23rd, 2012. Classes at first year level were started on October 1st, 2012 under the instruction of the Honourable Secretary Higher Education. In the beginning the classes were held in the building of Punjab Dental Hostels, which is now a part of the college premises. Health department officially entrusted the hostels to the department of Education.

The then chief minister of Punjab, honourable Mr. Shahbaz Sharif, laid the foundation stone of the college building on 1st of March, 2012, in a graceful ceremony. This new state of the art building of the college was constructed within a short time span and was inaugurated by Khawaja Saad Rafique. Presently the college covers an area of more than eight acres.

There are three fully equipped science laboratories in the college. The progressive Computer lab is equipped with computers of latest specifications. A spacious library houses a vast collection of books on different subjects of Sciences and Arts. In addition to this, 17 teaching halls are also a part of this majestic building. Its surroundings are occupied by a vast ground. A canteen has also been constructed in the college aiming at fulfilling student's refreshment needs.
