Admission Process

The admission procedure in Govt. Islamia College of Commerce is simple but tough. Applicants are required to file their applications on the forms prescribed, which can be obtained from the college office or the Bank of Punjab. The applicants have to attach attested copies of their educational documents, CNICs, and passport-sized photos with the application. Incomplete applications are rejected. After preliminary screening, suitable candidates are invited for an interview by the admission committee. Original documents should be brought along to the interview for verification. The final choice is made on merit and seat availability. 

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility requirements differ according to the level of the program. For Intermediate programs (I.Com), applicants should have passed their matric with the specified percentage. For undergraduate courses such as B.Com, a minimum of 12 years of study with a second division is required. Postgraduate courses like M.Com and M.A. Economics demand a Bachelor's degree in the specified field. Applicants possessing qualifications from boards or universities other than Lahore Board or University of the Punjab are required to produce a migration certificate. The applicants must also produce a character certificate from the previous institution attended and a CNIC of guardian and applicant.
