The Govt Degree College, Sargodha has been providing quality education to student community of Sargodha and its adjacent areas in different degree programs at undergraduate and graduate level. The college was established to offer quality education to the students and realize the goal of nurturing students academically and socially. This is institution is affiliated to the Punjab Department of Education and functions as per the norms set by the Punjab Higher Education Department. 

Academic Programs Offered

Degree College Sargodha has a number of program fields in sciences, art and commerce for its students. The college offers under graduate courses like FA (Faculty of Arts), FSC (Faculty of Science), and ICom (Intermediate Commerce). At the post graduate level, it offers Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science programs where students can choose subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Maths, Economics. The college has in the past always ensured that its curriculum was harmonized with the market needs as a way of providing for students needs. However, other than these courses, the college also provides diploma courses in some technical and vocational areas to meet the requirements of the learners who have the intentions of joining the job market immediately.

The classrooms are adequately large and well equipped with local audio visual and disseminating equipment to support the provision of education. The college also boasts fully equipped libraries with adequate books, journals and other related research documents. For practical learning, the school provides functional science laboratory for physical science subjects like physics, chemistry as well as biology. Tactical in design but very functional are the sports facilities provided such as the cricket ground, mini football field, indoor sporting area for basketball and other indoor games, ensuring the students physical development and team work.
