Govt College of Technology Sahiwal

Govt college of Technology is situated at old Harappa road near Municipal Colony, Jahaz Ground, Sahiwal. The college covers an area of 67 acres of land, adequate facilities of class rooms, workshops, Laboratories, Library, Reading Rooms, Mosque, Dispensary, Canteen, Offices, Stores, Lawns, Play Grounds, Hostel for 300 students and residences for staff. A separate Block of Mechanical Technology is provided for instruction work of Diploma and Degree classes. According to the Education policy 1972-80 under the head "Technical Education" some of the polytechnics were upgraded to colleges of Technology to offer B.Tech Program. In this regard B.Tech. Pass in Mechanical Production started during the year 2001 and B-Tech pass in Automobiles & Farm machinery has been started during the year 2006. This program is affiliated with BahaudDin Zakariya University, Multan. Similarly college offers the B-Tech. (Hons.) Mechanical Programme and college administration striving for B-Tech.(Pass) in Civil Technology in future.
