The ceremony was carried out at The Governor House.HUNDRED STUDENTS in two batches have been admitted for four years BDS Course on open merit UEDP Local, UEDP Overseas on merit cum choice basis, after the Entrance test.The dental hospital is working for the past 18 months and uptil now has provided all possible treatments including, fillings, root canals, caping, surgeries and other treatments to more than thirty thousand (30,000) patients, free of cost.

At the inaugural Ceremony Former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz in his speech appreciated the developments of Dow University and the efforts of the Vice Chancellor Professor Masood Hameed Khan. On that occasion former Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz announced ten million rupees annual grant from the federal Govt, where as the former Chief Minister Dr. Arbab Ghulam Rahim announced another ten million Rs. annual grant from the Sindh Govt for the dental treatment of the patients at Dr. Ishrat-Ul-Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences.They said that fifty percent of the recurrent grant from the government will help the poor patients in having dental treatment which is otherwise very expensive at private clinics.
