Programs Offered

At Continental Medical College students can study the five year Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program through the University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore curriculum and PMC regulatory framework. The program consists of basic sciences education for two years and subsequent clinical education for three years that leads to a one year supervised internship at Ch.?Rehmat?Ali Memorial Trust Teaching Hospital and its affiliated institutions (Hayat Memorial, Saira Memorial, and Medicare Hospital). The clinical rotation program includes education in Medicine and Surgery together with Obstetrics?&?Gynecology, Pediatrics, Radiology and Pathology as well as other medical specialty disciplines. The Department of Medical Education and research at CMC arranges postgraduate clinical training positions for FCPS Part II credentials and delivers continuous professional development workshops for doctors.

Facilities & Activities

The facilities at Continental Medical College campus include an advanced central library holding more than 4,000 books and 1,900 reference texts and air conditioned lecture halls supported by a multimedia equipped auditorium along with modern dissection halls and specialized Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, and Pathology laboratories. The campus supports research and e-learning functions through its high speed computer facilities which have internet connectivity. Hayat Memorial Teaching Hospital delivers practical medical training because it combines clinical training wards with diagnostic labs and an emergency service. Students receive full benefits from a sterile cafeteria and indoor sports areas whereas separate facilities for societies, academic clubs and gender based hostel accommodation exist. Through regular workshops and seminars as well as cultural activities the institution facilitates complete student development.
