Bahria University started its journey in the late nineteen-eighty’s. Pakistan Navy inaugurated two educational institutes, one in Karachi and Islamabad as Bahria Institute. Then in 1997, the institute was upgraded to start degree programs to 4 year BBA and BSC and MBA and M.Sc. The institute was given university status in February 2000 through a Presidential Ordinance.
