Aligarh College for Women, Lahore was established as Aligarh Public School for Girls on a historical day of September 6, 1965. The school was given the status of college in 1991. Now the institute has become one of the best colleges of the city. The college was established by Tehzibul Akhlaq Trust, which was founded in 1961 for the furtherance of mission of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan.
In addition to academic excellence, the college places a strong emphasis on character development and moral values.
