Academic Programs Offered

The college offers a five year MBBS course, which comprises 236 credit hours. The first two years are pre-clinical, with training in general medical sciences and the normal structure and function of human organs. It also includes community oriented medicine, biostatistics, clinical medicine in introductory form, and other related studies to ensure complete education. The courses are designed in light of the PM&DC recommendations to develop cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains in the students. A very strong emphasis is laid on practical knowledge, with a significant proportion of the training being spent on a hands on clinical approach.

Facilities & Activities

The college has developed the finest possible learning environment expected of a 500 bed teaching hospital. This hospital has among the best medical equipment, digital radiography fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, and complete emergency service. The college has also provided a well designed hall of lecture, laboratories, library, and an auditorium, all well equipped to back up crisp academic learning. Clinically, departments such as internal medicine, general surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, ophthalmology, ENT, radiology, and dentistry do hands on training of the students. The college encourages students to participate actively in extracurricular activities and research programs, thus allowing them to grow as individuals and professionals. With its planned infrastructure and dedicated faculty, the college is set to provide a full fledged learning environment for their students.
