Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Training Institute Lahore

Pakistan’s foremost authority on aviation maintenance professionals, the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Training Institute (AMETI) was founded in 2009. AMETI which is the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore based training institute provides all round training in the areas of aircraft maintenance engineering. The institute is licensed and accredited by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan (CAA), and it conforms to international standards, such as EASA Part 66, that make sure that standards of education and training are of high quality in order to suit the institute’s students. 

Programs Offered

AMETI offers special courses that will prepare students for Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) license. The curriculum consists of 14 modules consisting of two years (1,200 hours) of study, and critical areas include such subjects as aircraft structures, systems, and powerplants. Other training that students receive include 1,200 hours of On-the-Job Training (OJT) on Pakistan registered commercial aircraft with a Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) over 5,700 kg, in pressurized cabins and gas turbines. This training in practice is supported by partnership with AirBlue, providing exposure to real life maintenance situations in aviation.

Facilities & Activities

The facilities where AMETI operates are of state of the art. The institute has a state of the art classrooms, upgradable simulation labs and direct access to actual aircraft for practical training sessions. Students perform a variety of activities such as routine maintenance activities, troubleshooting system activities and component testing under the guidance of experienced teachers. These activities focus on strengthening students’ technical skills and facing challenges of aviation industry.
