Merit list is also an important aspect of the admission process of the BS Peace and Conflict Studies since it is through it that applicants are chosen to enroll in this competitive program. Universities publish merit lists, which they are prepared following academic records examination, aggregation, and the inclusion of entrance test scores (where applicable). The demand of such program in the year 2025 is still rising because the students are becoming more interested in the field of international relations, diplomacy, human rights, and careers in peacebuilding. Knowledge of merit list procedures, standards and due dates will assist an applicant reserve a place in the desired university and prevent procrastination.
No merit lists found.
In the majority of the universities that provide BS Peace and Conflict Studies, merit is based on intermediate marks (FA, FSc, ICS, A-Levels) along with the scores on the entrance test. The proportion of intermediate results and entry tests, where applicable, in universities is usually 70-80% and 20-30% respectively in public universities. There are also universities where some, particularly the private ones, do not use tests but use previous academic performance or conduct the interview. Some of the institutions also consider co-curricular performance or ability tests. Future aspirants should go over the admission prospectus to know the weightage formula that every university will have applied in 2025.
The BS Peace and Conflict Studies has few seats in public universities like Quaid-e-Azam University, university of Peshawar and university of Karachi and so its merit lists are quite competitive. Such institutions normally have several merit lists, first, second, and third, based on the amount of seats offered. Students whose names are found in the first merit list need to affirm their admission by paying fees within the stipulated deadline. In case there are still empty seats, new lists of merits are announced to give a place to waiting candidates. Higher closing aggregates are usually found in the public university merit lists because of the low price system and good educational reputation of such universities.
Merit lists are also issued by the private universities but that are slightly more flexible. The institutions such as Superior University, Greenwich University and University of Lahore might offer lesser aggregate closing than the public universities, and hence are the good choice when it comes to students with average grades. Others are the private universities which carry out a rolling admission process as they will always accept students up to the point that the available slots are occupied. These higher education institutions can enable students to book their seat by paying in advance a part of the fees, and this will give the students a chance to make decisions. This option will prove useful in cases where an individual is waiting to get results of other universities or decides on the program to pursue.
The BS Peace and Conflict Studies merit lists are usually announced in August or September 2025 at most universities after the completion of the admission applications and the entrance tests. The initial list of merit is normally succeeded by second and third list over a span of one or two weeks. Candidates who failed to satisfy the merit which was open are also issued with waiting lists or self-finance lists by some university. It is important that the applicants check the official websites of the universities to which they had applied, lapses and failure to meet the deadline of submitting the fees or verification of the documents may cost him the seat to the next eligible person in the list.
