Eligibility criteria of BS Interior Design

The eligibility criteria to apply in admission to the bachelor of interior design degree program is as:

  1. Students must have intermediate qualification from a recognized certification board.
  2. Many colleges perform their own personal judgements and interviews. These assessments generally involve queries about comprehension, reasoning and aptitude.
  3. This course of studies is also offered after matric as a diploma program. But if the students want to take admission at a bachelor level then they should have a degree of intermediate with minimum 50% marks. At the master level interior designing in Pakistan, students should have a bachelor degree of 4 years program in Bachelor of Fine Arts as well.

Merit of BS Interior Design

The merit of BS interior design starts from 75% and ends at 68% in most public universities. The following procedures are followed for admission in any institution:

  1. All applicants must appear in the entrance test (through NTS).
  2. All students must appear in the Creative Aptitude Test conducted by the department of the university.
  3. A list of selected candidates is made observing the following criteria which is as:
  4. 30% of general merit (Matric/O-Levels 3% + Intermediate/A-Levels 12% + NTS 15%)
  5. 70% of the Creative Aptitude Test which consists of (Writing 10% + Drawing 30% + Interview 30%) as well.

Government universities take admission in September and October of this study program (interior design). But private universities take admission in January and February. Many public universities require an admission test for this degree program, but some universities did not demand any test for admission. They take students only on academic record.

To take admission in a superior university in interior design program students must have 50% in Intermediate examination. The degree duration is 4 years with a total 130 credit hours.
