Riphah International University, Gulberg Campus Lahore, has launched Innovation & Wellness Fest 2026

Lahore: Riphah International University, Gulberg Campus, has officially launched its flagship Innovation & Wellness Fest 2026, a seven-day mega event designed to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry while promoting community health, youth empowerment, and entrepreneurial growth.

Organized under the leadership of Mr. Muhammad Umer Farooq, Regional Director Riphah International University Lahore, the festival serves as a dynamic platform bringing together students, faculty members, healthcare professionals, industry experts, startups, and community organizations. The core objective of the fest is to translate academic knowledge into real-world practice and foster innovation that creates measurable social and economic impact.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by DG NCHD Ali Asghar and Mr. Hassan Muhammad Khan, Chancellor Riphah International University, who emphasized the evolving role of universities in national development. They highlighted the importance of applied education, ethical leadership, and community engagement in preparing future leaders capable of addressing Pakistan’s social and economic challenges.

A major highlight of the Innovation & Wellness Fest 2026 is its strong focus on public welfare. Free medical camps, diagnostic services, nutritional counseling, and physical therapy assessments are being offered throughout the week. These initiatives are organized in collaboration with Chughtai Labs, Alkhidmat Foundation, and Alkhidmat Mobile Dispensary, ensuring healthcare accessibility for surrounding communities beyond the university campus.

The week-long festival features a wide range of academic, professional, and recreational activities, including Sports Week, Cultural Day, intervarsity competitions, a startup bazaar, job fair, CEO’s dinner, alumni networking sessions, and industry roundtables. Public awareness seminars, creative student exhibitions, and entrepreneurial stalls showcasing food products, handicrafts, jewelry, and student-led startups further enhance the inclusive nature of the event. Dedicated activities for both male and female students, along with a children’s learning zone, reflect the festival’s family-friendly and community-oriented approach.

Another significant milestone of the event is the inauguration of “Work Village,” a newly established business and innovation unit aimed at supporting startups, freelancers, and student entrepreneurs. This initiative reinforces Riphah University’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and providing practical platforms for young innovators.

The Wellness Fest 2026 is being attended by prominent national figures, educators, healthcare experts, motivational speakers, and media personalities, including Dr. Javed Akram, Qasim Ali Shah, Sarah Chaudhry, Nighat Hashmi, Mugheera Luqman, and Fareeha Zeeshan. On Thursday, 22 January 2026, senior government officials, industry leaders, and development sector representatives are scheduled to address participants.
