The University of Management and Technology (UMT) has achieved another remarkable milestone by securing a distinguished position in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026. UMT has been ranked within the 801-1000 world ranking as well as No. 1 privately owned university in Research Quality in Pakistan.
President UMT and Former Provincial Minister Ibrahim Hasan Murad congratulated the students, faculty, researchers, and administration on this outstanding achievement. He said that this recognition reflects UMT’s unwavering commitment to advancing quality education, cutting-edge research, innovation and societal impact, placing Pakistan among the academically progressive nations of the world.

Ibrahim Hasan Murad added that UMT’s inclusion among the world’s top universities is a source of great pride, not only for the institution itself but also for Pakistan’s higher education sector as a whole. He stressed on research, innovation and knowledge-based development as the key to forming the prosperous and progressive future of our country.
