Baseline Eligibility Criteria

For M.Phil Admission

• Academic Threshold: 16 years of formal education (4 years undergraduate program, minimum 120 credit hours) after HSSC/F.Sc in the related field.

• Minimum Passing Marks: 2nd Division with at least 50% marks under the annual testing system OR a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 under the semester system from an HEC recognized university.

• Entry Test: Candidates must clear the UVAS GRE/HAT General entry test with a minimum qualifying score of 50%.

For Ph.D. Admission

• Academic Threshold: M.Sc. (Hons) / M.Phil degree in the relevant field of study from an HEC recognized university.

• Minimum Passing Marks: 1st Division with at least 60% marks under the annual testing system OR a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 under the semester system.

• Entry Test: Candidates must clear the UVAS GRE/HAT General entry test with a minimum qualifying score of 60%.

Key Timelines & Merit Schedule (2026)

Critical Instructions & Mandatory Terms

• No Hope Certificates: Applications based on "Hope Certificates" are strictly rejected. Only verified degrees and transcripts officially issued by the Controller of Examinations will be processed.

• Hard Copy Submission Requirement: After completing the online entry, a physical printout of the application form along with one set of attested academic documents, CNIC, and father's CNIC must reach the office of the Directorate of Advanced Studies via courier/postal service only. Hand delivery is not permitted.

• Professional Registrations: Candidates with professional degrees (like DVM, Pharm-D, etc.) must attach a valid council registration certificate (e.g., PVMC, Pharmacy Council) with their documents.

• Government Service NOC: Government employees must provide a valid No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective parent departments along with their file.

• HEC Dual Degree Policy: Double degree rules apply. Enrolling or attending classes concurrently in two different degree courses with overlapping timelines is strictly prohibited.

Application Processing Workflow

Log onto the UVAS admissions link at www.uvas.edu.pk and build your digital applicant profile.

Generate the automated deposit slip. Pay Rs. 2,500/- for a single program choice, plus Rs. 500/- for each additional program option selected, at any online branch of Bank Alfalah.

Print the fully locked online application form. Collate one exact set of all verified educational records, certificates, council registrations, and paid bank stamps according to the application checklist.

Seal and dispatch the entire physical file dossier exclusively via registered postal or courier service to the Directorate of Advanced Studies, UVAS, Outfall Road, Lahore before the August 06, 2026 closing bell.
