Important Instructions:

1. Government Employees: Candidates employed in any government or semi-government department/organization or autonomous bodies must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned department/organization within 30 days.
2. NOC Submission: A copy of the application submitted to the employer for NOC or acknowledgment may be produced at the time of admission. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the admission.
3. Website Updates: Candidates must regularly visit the University website for important updates regarding admission.
4. Admission Test: All candidates must appear for the admission test as per the schedule displayed on the University website.
5. MPhil Requirement for PhD: A research-based MPhil degree (or equivalent) is mandatory for PhD admission.
6. Communication of Information: All important schedules and announcements will be shared through the Departmental Notice Board and the University Website only.
7. Document Verification: The Graduate Studies Committee will verify original documents, including Statement of Purpose (for PhD only), as per the MS/MPhil/PhD Regulations.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:

• For MS/MPhil:
  • 16 years of schooling or 4 years of education (after HSSC/F.A./F.Sc./Grade 12 or equivalent) with a minimum of 2.50 CGPA (out of 4.00) or second division in the annual system.
• For PhD:
  • MS/MPhil or equivalent degree with a minimum of 3.00 CGPA (out of 4.00) or 60% in the annual system, from an HEC-recognized institution.
• Admission Test:
  • Admission tests will be conducted through NTS or any other national testing agency approved by the university. The passing score is 50% for MS/MPhil and 60% for PhD.

How to Apply:

1. Online Application:
   • Applicants must apply online through the Online Application System available on the University website: www.uom.edu.pk.
2. Fee Payment:
   • Applicants must download the system-generated deposit slip/fee challan and deposit the fee at any branch of the National Bank of Pakistan or Bank of Khyber.
   • The Bank Challan/Receipt must be attached with other scanned documents, or the application will not be entertained.
