The Pakistan Navy War College (PNWC), Lahore, is organizing an 11-day Maritime Security Workshop (MARSEW) that brings together participants from diverse professional and institutional backgrounds. The workshop aims to build a better understanding of Pakistan's maritime interests and the Blue Economy.
It offers a unique opportunity to explore Pakistan's maritime potential, engage with policymakers and key maritime stakeholders, and gain valuable insights into contemporary maritime challenges. A key component of the workshop is the Maritime Policy Formulation Exercise (MPFX), which provides participants with practical, hands-on exposure to the process of maritime policy development.
The ultimate goal of MARSEW is to build a strong network of informed maritime stakeholders who can actively contribute to the development of the maritime sector and promote the sustainable use of Pakistan's maritime resources for national growth and prosperity.
Participants will benefit from a comprehensive program that includes:
Interactive Learning: Direct interaction with fellow participants from diverse fields of society, fostering cross-sectoral dialogue.
Expert Sessions: Talks, seminars, discussions, and brainstorming sessions led by subject matter experts and policymakers.
Strategic Exposure: Field visits to the Naval Headquarters (NHQ) and other key maritime organizations based in Islamabad, Karachi, and the Coastal & Creeks Areas.
Practical Experience: An exclusive day trip at sea on Pakistan Navy (PN) platforms.
Policy Development: Active engagement in the Maritime Policy Formulation Exercise (MPFX).
Networking: Connection building with the alumni network of previous MARSEW participants.
The workshop is open to Pakistani citizens from various backgrounds who have a keen interest in maritime affairs. Ideal candidates include:

Note: Young entrepreneurs (below 30 years of age) who meet the eligibility criteria are strongly encouraged to apply.
To be eligible for participation, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Citizenship: Must be a Pakistani Citizen.
Education: Preferably a Master’s Degree or higher.
Language: Must have proficiency in the English Language.
Workshop Fee: 600,000 PKR
Accommodation: Available for outstation applicants upon request.
