Programme Description:
Palliative care is a specialized medical approach designed to provide holistic support to individuals living with serious, life-threatening conditions. The course focuses on alleviating suffering through comprehensive management of physical, emotional, and spiritual distress. By doing so, palliative care empowers patients and their families to face the challenges of illness with dignity, comfort, and care.

Duration: 26 Weeks

Mode of Delivery: Online Certificate Program with a Hybrid Workshop
Online Component (24 Weeks): Self-study combined with synchronous online sessions. The program comprises pre-recorded video lectures by experts in palliative care/oncology and interactive online teaching sessions. Learning is conducted via the NUMS digital e-learning portal, accessible to faculty and participants through their personal accounts.
Hybrid Workshop: A workshop on communication skills is conducted at the NUMS campus. Participants from Rawalpindi and Islamabad attend physically, while participants from other cities can join via Zoom link.

4. Eligibility Criteria
This course is designed to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence in palliative care medicine. It will contribute to enhancing the ability of healthcare professionals to lead and drive clinically effective care for patients suffering from advanced life-limiting diseases.
Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications:
