ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR M.Phil

• Pharm.D, B. Pharmacy (level 6 Qualification) with minimum CGPA of 2.5 from HEC and PCP recognized institutions shall be required for admission in the MPhil programme (Pharmaceutical Chemistry).
• Valid GRE/HAT/GAT General/Equivalent tests, with a passing score of 50% is also acceptable for M.Phil.
• Or Students will appear in the test conducted by Jinnah Sindh Medical University for admission in the MPhil programs in respective discipline, with a passing score of 50% for M.Phil

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION FORM

1. Candidates are instructed to fill form available online www.jsmu.edu.pk, download and print the filled form, and then courier the hardcopy of the form with the attested documents and a paid fee voucher of Rs. 5000 (Non refundable).
2. Admit cards will be available on the website (venue and time will be mentioned on the admit card).
3. No personal contacts will be entertained.
4. Accommodation is not available for any candidate.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTRY TEST

• Candidates must reach their respective test venue at least an hour before the commencement of the Test.
• Candidates must bring the following documents with them on the Test date:
  1. Original CNIC/ NICOP/ POC/ Form B or original passport (photocopies are not acceptable). Those who fail to bring these documents will not be allowed to appear in the Test.
  2. Print out of Admit Card
  • The mobile number and e-mail address provided in the online application form should be entered correctly and both should be functional, as the SMS and e-mail alerts shall be sent to your given mobile number & e-mail address.

TEST PATTERN

The Entry Test shall be set from the following fields: Pharmacy, Biostatistics, Communications, Research Methodology and Logical Reasoning.
• Only successful candidates will be called for interview.
• No TA/DA will be given.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR PhD

• Pharm.D/M.Pharm/M.Phil degree with MS/MPhil degree (Level 7) from HEC recognized institutions
• CGPA Requirement for PhD
  For admission in Ph.D programmes, a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (out of 4.0 in the semester system) or 60% (in the annual system) in the MS/MPhil/M.Pharm degree from HEC recognized Higher Education Institutions.
• Holders of MS/MPhil/M.Pharm degree from HEC recognized Higher Education Institutions with a CGPA between 2.5-2.9 may also apply for conditional admission to a Ph.D programme with the requirement to complete additional courses in zero semester as per HEC/JSIMU policy.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR APPLICATION FORM

• Valid GRE/HAT/GAT Subject tests in respective discipline, conducted by testing bodies accredited by HEC, with a passing score of 60% is also acceptable for PhD
• Or Students will appear in the test conducted by Jinnah Sindh Medical University for admission to PhD programs in respective discipline, with a passing score of 60% for PhD
• Interviews will be conducted for short listed candidates by Admission Committee.
• PhD candidates will also submit the short research proposal in the area of applicant’s interest at the time of interview.
• Intra-disciplinary Qualifications for PhD
  The applicant has passed GRE-Subject/Equivalent Test with minimum 60% marks in the discipline of admission. He or she will take 6-9 Cr. H of deficiency courses of level 7 in Zero Semester offered by respective department.
