The APPNA Institute of Public Health, a constituent institution of Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU), Karachi, has officially announced admissions for its Master of Science in Public Health (MSPH) program for Session 2026 (Batch XII). This premium 2-year postgraduate program is fully accredited by both the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC) and the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
Persons with disabilities (PWD) are highly encouraged to apply. The registration portal opens today, June 22, 2026, and completed applications must reach the university via courier by July 18, 2026.
Candidates must possess at least 16 years of education from an HEC and/or PM&DC-recognized university or institute in one of the following fields:
Medical & Clinical: MBBS / MD (PM&DC registered), BDS (PM&DC registered).
Nursing & Allied Health: BS Public Health (4 Years), B.Sc. Nursing (4 Years, PNC registered), B.Sc. Paramedics (4 Years), BS Physiotherapy (or equivalent).
Pharmaceutical & Veterinary: Pharm-D (Pharmacy Council registered), DVM (Veterinary Council registered).
Sciences & Business: M.Sc. in Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology), M.Sc. in Biological, Environmental, or Nutrition Sciences, or a Master in Business Administration (MBA).
Mandatory Experience / Skills:
For MBBS/BDS degree holders, one year of full-time House Job from a PM&DC-recognized institution is mandatory.
Working knowledge of MS Office is strictly required for all applicants.
The entrance examination is a 90-minute test consisting of 60 total marks with no negative marking. The evaluation breakdown is structured as follows:

Test-Day Prerequisites: Candidates must bring a physical printout of their Admit Card and their Original CNIC. Failure to produce these documents will result in automatic disqualification from the test center. Candidates should arrive at least 30 minutes before commencement.
Interview Filter: Only successful candidates who pass the written entry test will be invited for an interview by the Admission Committee. No TA/DA will be provided.
Applicants must fulfill the following technical steps to submit a valid package:
Step 1: Log on to the official university portal at www.jsmu.edu.pk to access the online application form and prospectus.
Step 2: Download and print the application fee voucher worth PKR 5,000/-, which can be deposited at any branch of Habib Bank Limited (HBL).
Step 3: Pack the completed application form, the paid copy of the HBL fee voucher, and attested copies of all relevant educational/professional documents.
Step 4: Send the entire packet strictly via courier service to the destination address below. Note: On-campus accommodation is not available for any candidate.
