3. Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following strict criteria:

• Educational Qualification:

  • Must hold a relevant PhD degree in English with a specialization in ELT (English Language Teaching), Linguistics, or Applied Linguistics.

  • The PhD must be from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

  • Important Note: Candidates with a foreign PhD degree must provide an HEC equivalence certificate.

• Timing: The applicant must have acquired the requisite PhD qualification on or before the closing date of the application.

  1. Research Proposal: A detailed proposal of 500 to 1,000 words outlining the intended postdoctoral research.
