Admissions – MS & Ph.D. Programs (Spring 2026)

SBK Women’s University, Quetta welcomes eligible women from across Pakistan to apply for admission in its HEC-recognized MS and Ph.D. programs for Spring 2026.


MS Programs Offered

Applications are invited for MS degrees in the following disciplines:

  1. Chemistry

  2. Zoology

  3. Biotechnology

  4. Environmental Sciences

  5. Biochemistry

  6. Mathematics

  7. Botany

  8. Education

  9. Islamic Studies

  10. English Literature

  11. English Linguistics


Eligibility Criteria for MS Program

Applicants must:

  • Possess 16 years of education (4-year BS with minimum 120 credit hours or equivalent) or a Master’s degree in the relevant/related field from a recognized university.

  • Have a minimum of 50% marks (annual system) or CGPA 2.5/4.0 (semester system).

  • Qualify GAT (General)/GRE/HAT/University Admission Test with at least 50% marks (as per HEC requirements).

  • Admissions are aligned with HEC Graduate Education Policy 2023.


Ph.D. Programs Offered

Applications are invited for Ph.D. admissions in:

  1. Chemistry

  2. Zoology

  3. Biotechnology

  4. Biochemistry

  5. Environmental Sciences


Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D. Program

Applicants must:

  • Possess 18 years of education (MS/MPhil or equivalent degree with minimum 30 credit hours) in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized institution.

  • Have a minimum of 60% marks (annual system, First Division) or CGPA 3.0/4.0 (semester system).

  • Qualify GAT (General/Subject)/GRE/HAT/University Admission Test with at least 60% marks.

Statement of Purpose (SOP) – Mandatory

Ph.D. applicants must submit a 2-page Statement of Purpose (SOP) including:

  • Academic and research background

  • Proposed research title

  • Current specialization and research interests

  • Purpose of pursuing doctoral studies

  • Research potential and significance of the study


General Conditions

  • MS & Ph.D. programs are open to candidates meeting the eligibility criteria.

  • Government employees must submit:

    • NOC (No Objection Certificate) with application.

    • Study leave approval (2 years for MS, 4 years for Ph.D.) at time of registration.

  • All students must enroll as full-time regular students.

  • Applications must be submitted online only through the official website:

  • After online submission, applicants must:

    • Print the form

    • Attach required documents

    • Submit to the Graduate Studies Office (GSO), SBKWU, Quetta


Required Documents (Attested Copies – 2 Sets)

  • Matric, Intermediate, Bachelor, Master/MS/MPhil certificates

  • Detailed Marks Certificates (DMCs)

  • Two recent photographs

  • Original Bank Challan (processing fee)

  • NOC (if government employee)

  • Form-B

  • Local/Domicile Certificate

  • CNIC

  • Character Certificate from last attended institution

Applicants must provide a working mobile number and valid email address for updates regarding tests and interviews.


Application Processing Fee (Non-Refundable)

  • MS/MPhil: Rs. 3000/-

  • Ph.D.: Rs. 4000/-
