MS DEGREE PROGRAMS

Applications are invited for admission to MS programs in the following disciplines at SBK Women’s University, Quetta:

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR MS PROGRAM

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements:

• Sixteen (16) years of education or 4-year BS degree (minimum 120 credit hours) or equivalent, or a Master’s degree in the relevant/related discipline from a recognized university.

• Minimum 50% marks (annual system) or CGPA 2.5/4.0 (semester system).

• A valid GAT (General) / GRE / HAT / IAT or approved admission test with a minimum score of 50 is mandatory.

Ph.D. DEGREE PROGRAMS

Ph.D. admissions are offered in accordance with HEC Graduate Education Policy – 2023 in the following departments:

1. Chemistry

2. Zoology

3. Biotechnology

4. Biochemistry

5. Environmental Sciences

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR Ph.D. PROGRAM

• Eighteen (18) years of education with an HEC-recognized MS/M.Phil or equivalent degree (minimum 30 credit hours) in the relevant field.

• Minimum 60% marks / First Division (annual system) or CGPA 3.0/4.0 (semester system).

• Valid GAT (General Subject) / GRE / HAT with a minimum score of 60 is mandatory.

Statement of Purpose (SOP) / Research Proposal

Applicants must submit a 2-page SOP/Research Proposal covering:

1. Academic and research background

2. Proposed research title

3. Current specialization and research interests

4. Purpose of pursuing doctoral studies

5. Significance of the proposed study

GENERAL CONDITIONS

• Admissions are open to all candidates meeting the eligibility criteria.

• Government employees must submit:

  • No Objection Certificate (NOC) with the application

  • Study leave document (2 years for MS, 4 years for Ph.D.) at the time of registration

• Admission is on a full-time basis; students must complete coursework and research regularly.

• Applications must be submitted online only through the official portal:

• After online submission, applicants must download and submit the printed form along with required documents to the Graduate Studies Office (GSO), SBKWU, Quetta.

• Ph.D.: Rs. 4,000/-
