Admission Test for Undergraduate Programs (Academic Year 2026–27)

Overview

University of the Punjab Lahore announces that all students seeking admission to its undergraduate programs must appear in the PU Admission Test 2026.

Tentative Test Date: Sunday, 14 June 2026
Appearing in this test is mandatory for admission eligibility

1. Who Can Apply?

The following candidates are eligible:

Students who have passed HSSC (Intermediate) / Grade 12 or equivalent
Students who have appeared in final HSSC exams and are awaiting results

2. Admission Test Categories

The test is divided into 7 categories, based on academic background:

3. Importance of Admission Test

The test contributes 25% weightage in total merit calculation
It is required to apply for undergraduate programs through the admission portal

Previous year’s PU test results are not valid for new admissions

7. Program-Specific Requirements

Engineering Programs

PU Test is mandatory as per PEC regulations
Scores from:
- ECAT UET
- NUST Entry Test
  are also acceptable

Law (LLB Programs)

Both required:
- Law Admission Test (LAT) Pakistan
- PU Admission Test

College of Art & Design

PU Admission Test + Drawing/Aptitude Test

Pharm-D Program

Accepts:
- MDCAT Pakistan
- OR PU Admission Test
