NUMS MDCAT-2026: Entrance Test for MBBS/BDS Admissions (Session 2026-27)

Overview: As the official Admitting University, NUMS is conducting the mandatory Entry Test (MDCAT-2026) for admission into its constituent, affiliated, and all military (Armed Forces) administered medical and dental colleges across Pakistan.

📅 Schedule, Deadlines, & Fee Structure

Note: The test time for international centers will be specifically printed on the candidate's admit card.

🎓 Basic Qualification & Eligibility

• Nationality: Open to Citizens of Pakistan, Overseas Pakistanis, Dual Nationals, and Foreign Nationals.

• Age Document Requirement: Candidates below 18 years of age must possess a valid Juvenile Card issued by NADRA.

• Academic Status: Students currently awaiting results for F.Sc / HSSC / A-Levels / 12th Grade are eligible to apply.

• Validity: The NUMS MDCAT-2026 score is strictly valid for the MBBS/BDS Session 2026-27 only.

📍 Examination Cities & Stations

The entry test will be conducted in the following locations, contingent upon reaching a viable number of applicants:

• ICT: Islamabad

• Punjab: Bahawalpur, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Kharian, Lahore, Multan, Rawalpindi, Sargodha

• Sindh: Hyderabad, Karachi, Pano Aqil

• Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK): Abbottabad, Peshawar

• Balochistan: Quetta

• International: Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)

⚠️ Center Selection Policy: Candidates must select any two local cities/stations in order of preference. Candidates are advised to select stations closest to their residence. However, due to maximum seating capacities, NUMS reserves the right to shift a candidate to the nearest available city.

📝 Test Pattern & Syllabus

The competitive exam consists of two mandatory components with no negative marking.

Part A (Academic Subject Test)

• Total MCQs: 150 Questions (One Best Option Type)

• Subjects Covered: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and English

• Time Allocated: 2 Hours & 45 Minutes

Part B (Psychological Test)

• Total MCQs: 50 Questions (One Best Option Type)

• Time Allocated: 15 Minutes
