Admissions Open – M.Phil Nursing Program (Session 2026–2028)

King Edward Medical University, Lahore invites applications for admission to the 2-Year M.Phil Nursing Program for the academic session 2026–2028.

Admission Criteria

A. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the following requirements:

1. Educational Qualification (16 Years of Education):

   • 4-Year BSc Generic Nursing

   • OR Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery with 2-Year Post RN

   • OR any other equivalent qualification as determined by Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC)

2. Qualification must be recognized by PNC/HEC

3. Valid Permanent or Provisional Registration Certificate with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC)

4. Two reference letters from faculty members

5. Maximum age limit: 58 years (as of the closing date)

6. Applicant must have passed GAT-C

B. Entry Examination

• All candidates must pass the Graduate Assessment Test (GAT-C General)

• Minimum required score: 50% (as per HEC criteria)

• Submission of GAT result card is mandatory

• Applications without a valid GAT-C score will be automatically rejected

• No relaxation will be granted under any circumstances

C. Interview

1. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for interview

2. Passing the interview is a mandatory requirement for admission

3. Candidates must present:

   • All original academic documents

   • Good Conduct Certificate issued by Head of Department / Head of Institution

   • Failure to produce required documents will result in disqualification from interview

D. General Clauses

1. Total Seats Available: 10

2. Admission is highly competitive and strictly merit-based

3. Training positions will be offered only against available seats

4. No paid seats will be offered

Important Dates & Instructions

1. Application Form Fee: Rs. 2,000/- (Non-refundable)

2. Fee must be deposited:

   • In the Authorized Bank of KEMU, OR

   • Via Pay Order of Rs. 2,000/- in favor of Vice Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, Lahore

3. Submission Period:

   • From Monday, 02 February 2026

   • To Monday, 16 February 2026

   • During working hours

5. Email Address:

   • Provision of a valid email address is mandatory

   • Non-provision may result in loss of communication, for which the applicant will be solely responsible

     Patiala Block, KEMU, Nila Gumbad, Anarkali, Lahore

7. Required Attachments (Attested Copies):

   • Degrees & Transcripts (Post RN)

   • Domicile

   • CNIC

   • Original Fee Deposit Receipt / Pay Order

   • Any other relevant supporting documents

8. Incomplete applications or applications without required documents will be rejected

9. Applications sent via post/courier will be accepted only if received by 16 February 2026 during working hours

10. Applications received after the due date will not be entertained

Interview & Merit List Schedule

• Interview Date: Monday, 16 March 2026

• Display of Selected Candidates: Tuesday, 27 March 2026 (on KEMU website)

Fee for Selected Candidates

• Selected candidates must deposit Rs. 126,000/- as two-year program fee

• Fee is non-refundable as per M.Phil Regulations 2015 of KEMU

Important Note

Candidates who have already applied earlier under IPL No. 6626 dated 25.11.2025 do not need to apply again.
