Admissions in Diploma Programs

Session 2026–2028

King Edward Medical University, Lahore, invites applications on the prescribed application forms for admission to the following Diploma Programs for the academic session 2026–2028.

Offered Diploma Programs

1. Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence

2. Diploma in Dermatology

3. Diploma in Family Medicine

4. Diploma in Public Health (Preventive Medicine)

5. Diploma in Paediatric Surgery

Eligibility Criteria

• Applicants must possess one of the following qualifications:

  • M.Phil (Basic Sciences)

  • FCPS

  • MD / MS (or equivalent qualifications recognized by the relevant authorities)

• Applicants must fulfill the medical qualification requirements as prescribed by the University and PM&DC rules.

Entry Examination

• Admission shall be granted strictly on the basis of merit, determined through a competitive entry examination.

• All eligible candidates must appear in the Entry Test.

• Only candidates securing at least 60% marks in the entry examination will be considered for admission.

Merit Calculation

• Written Examination: 50%

• Interview: 50%

• The result of the entry examination alone does not automatically guarantee admission.

Admission Procedure

Candidates are required to submit attested copies of the following documents along with the application form:

• Academic Mark Sheets (DMCs)

• Degree Certificates

• CNIC

• Experience Certificate (if applicable)

• Any other relevant supporting documents as required by the University

Incomplete applications or applications without required documents shall not be entertained.

General Clauses

• Training slots are offered on a purely unpaid basis.

• Regular employees of Punjab Health Department and SHC & ME Department may apply only if they are on:

  • Study Leave, or

  • Extra-ordinary Leave (EOL)

• Candidates are not allowed to attend training programs during working hours.

• According to PM&DC Rules & Regulations, candidates shall not be allowed to enroll simultaneously in:

  • Diploma programs of the University and CPSP, whether in the same or different specialties, nor

  • Appear in examinations of both institutions at the same time.

  Rs. 3,000/- (Non-refundable)
  Payable in favor of Vice Chancellor, King Edward Medical University, Lahore

• Submission of Application Forms:
  From 12 January 2026 to 26 January 2026
  During working hours

• Venue for Submission:
  Office of the Registrar (Academics)
  Patiala Block, King Edward Medical University, Lahore

• Written Test Result Declaration:
  24 February 2026

• Provision of a valid email address on the application form is mandatory for communication.

  • Downloaded from the University website, or

  • Obtained from the Office of the Assistant Registrar (Academics),

    (during working hours)

• Candidates applying through post/courier must:

  • Clearly mention the name of the Diploma Program on the envelope
