4-Year Residency Program in Family Medicine

The Institute of Family Medicine at Jinnah Sindh Medical University invites applications from eligible and motivated medical graduates for induction into its 4-year structured Residency Program in Family Medicine. The program is designed to develop competent, community-oriented family physicians equipped with clinical excellence and leadership skills.

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

Mandatory Requirements

• Sindh Domicile

• Valid PMDC Registration

• Certificate of passing FCPS-I in any of the following subjects:

  • Medicine & Allied

  • Surgery & Allied

  • Obstetrics & Gynaecology

  • Paediatrics

  • Community Medicine

  • Psychiatry

Documents to be Submitted (Attested Copies)

Applicants must courier the filled form along with the following:

• FCPS-I passing certificate/letter

• House job certificate

• CNIC

• Two attested passport-size photographs

• Sindh domicile certificate

• MBBS, HSSC, SSC degrees or equivalent certificates

• Valid PMDC registration certificate

• NOC from Head of Institution (for government employees)

Application Process

1. Visit www.jsmu.edu.pk to access the online application form.

2. Fill out the form online, download it, and print the completed version.

3. Courier the printed hardcopy along with all attested documents and a paid fee voucher of Rs. 5,000 to:
   Office of Admissions, Jinnah Sindh Medical University, 3rd Floor, Rafiqui H.J. Shaheed Road, Karachi – 75510.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates must secure at least 60% marks in the entry test to qualify for the interview stage.

• Final selection will be based on interview performance and overall merit.

• Government employees must apply through proper channel and provide an advance copy along with an official NOC.

• No TA/DA will be provided for test or interview.
