GENERAL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• HSSC (Pre-Medical) or equivalent examination (e.g., A-Level / 12th Grade), duly certified by IBCC, with minimum 60% marks.

• Minimum passing marks in the Entry Test: 25%.

• Candidate must possess Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) and Domicile of Sindh.

1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D)

Offered by: Dow College of Pharmacy (DCOP)
Duration: 5 Years (Morning & Evening Programs)

Program Overview:
Dow College of Pharmacy, under the umbrella of Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), offers the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D) program designed to prepare students for professional excellence in the field of pharmacy — a vital component of the healthcare system.

Pharmacists play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective use of drugs, promoting rational drug therapy, and discouraging misuse of medicines. The Pharm-D program at DUHS focuses on developing expertise in:

• Clinical pharmacy practice in hospitals and communities

• Pharmaceutical industry operations including production, research & development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs

• Sales, marketing, planning, and public awareness regarding appropriate drug use

The aim is to produce competent pharmacy professionals capable of contributing to improved healthcare outcomes and pharmaceutical innovations.

2. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

Offered by: Dow Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (DIPM&R)
Duration: 5 Years

Program Overview:
Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) — a pioneer in integrated medical and allied health sciences education — continues its legacy of excellence through the Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program at the OJHA Campus, Karachi.

This program focuses on evidence-based education and hands-on clinical experience, preparing graduates to serve in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community health services. DIPM&R not only trains future physical therapists but also provides rehabilitation and therapeutic services to patients, bridging academic learning with community impact.

Eligibility Criteria:

3. BS Biotechnology (DCOB)

Offered by: Dow College of Biotechnology (DCOB)
Duration: 4 Years

The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology program is a comprehensive four-year degree emphasizing innovation, research, and application in health, environmental, industrial, and food sciences. As biotechnology continues to evolve globally, DUHS aims to produce technically skilled, research-oriented professionals capable of leading advancements in both academia and industry.
