1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D)

   • Department: Dow College of Pharmacy (DCOP)

2. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

   • Duration: 5 years

   • Department: Dow Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (DIPM&R)

3. Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (BS-Biotechnology)

   • Duration: 4 years

   • Department: Dow College of Biotechnology (DCOB)

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D):

• Educational Requirement: HSSC Pre-Medical or equivalent examination (e.g., A-Level, 12th grade, etc.), certified by IBCC, with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum passing marks in the entry test: 25%

  • Candidate must have PRC & Domicile of Sindh.

2. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT):

• Educational Requirement: HSSC Pre-Medical or equivalent examination (e.g., A-Level, 12th grade, etc.), certified by IBCC, with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must have PRC & Domicile of Sindh.

3. Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (BS-Biotechnology):

• Educational Requirement: HSSC Pre-Medical / Pre-Engineering or equivalent examination (e.g., A-Level, 12th grade, etc.), certified by IBCC, with a minimum of 60% marks.

• Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must have PRC & Domicile of Sindh.

About the Programs:

1. Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm-D)

The Pharm-D program is a 5-year degree course offered at Dow College of Pharmacy (DCOP). Pharmacy plays an essential role in healthcare, ensuring the safe and effective use of drugs across various sectors, including hospitals, clinics, and community pharmacies. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to:

• Promote public awareness about the proper use of medicines

• Prevent drug misuse

• Work in the pharmaceutical industry in various roles like research and development, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, sales, marketing, and more

2. Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT)

The Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program is offered at Dow Institute of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (DIPM&R). The 5-year course, starting from the 2025-26 session, aims to:

• Provide specialized education in physical therapy and rehabilitation

• Offer clinical training to students in treating patients with musculoskeletal and neurological disorders

• Focus on improving community health through integrated therapy services at the OJHA Campus, Karachi

3. Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology (BS-Biotechnology)

The BS in Biotechnology is a 4-year program offered at Dow College of Biotechnology (DCOB). Biotechnology is one of the fastest-growing fields globally, involving research, innovation, and commercialization. The program is designed to:

• Develop a workforce capable of addressing local health, environmental, food, and industrial challenges

• Provide extensive training in biotechnology with a focus on academic and industrial leadership

• Prepare graduates for careers in academia, research, and the biotechnology industry

• A non-refundable/non-adjustable fee of Rs. 2,500 must be paid online only at the time of application submission.
