The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Punjab has unveiled a revised and compressed admission schedule for Intermediate Part One (FA/FSc) for the academic session 2024-25 , sparking immediate concern among students and parents over the tight timeline and associated financial burdens. According to the official notification issued on Thursday, December 5, the board has set the admission window from December 1 to December 12 for submissions with a single, standard fee . However, as the announcement came on December 5, five days of the stated period have already lapsed, effectively leaving prospective students with only seven calendar days to gather documents and complete the process.
The board has provisioned for a late admission period running from December 13 to December 22 , but this comes with a significant financial penalty. Admissions submitted during this late window will be subject to a late fee , which is typically double or triple the original single fee, a point of major contention.
The Punjab Boards Committee of Chairpersons (PBCC) has shifted the Class XI (First Year) admissions of the next (2026-2027) session following an emergency meeting on 16th September 2025 . This was decided due to the reason that recent floods in Punjab failed normal functioning of many schools and learners, and thus the committee provided time beyond normal to complete admission processes.
Late-fee admissions may be done between 4th August 2025 to 29th September 2025 . In case a school or student fails to do so, he or she can still submit the application between 30th September, 2025 to 14th October, 2025 at a fee of Rs. 600 per student to the corresponding Board. These new dates would be applicable to all the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in Punjab.
