UAF ranks among top 150 universities of world

Faisalabad, The University of Agriculture Faisalabad has been included among the top 150 universities of the world according to QS World University Ranking. QS is a well-known agency which ranks the universities by keeping in view their quality of education.

QS Intelligence Unit and QS Global Academic Advisory Board assemble all the data in this regard. According to the ranking among the  top 200 universities in the world for 30 specific subjects, the UAF got the recognition in the subject of Agriculture and Forestry and got position among the renowned universities like University of Cape Town South Africa, University of Manitoba Canada, , University of Exeter UK, University of New England, Bogor Agricultural University Indonesia, Bangor University UK, Curtin University Australia, University of Canberra Australia, University of IOWA US, University of Florence Italy, University of Kansas, and University of the Philippines.

This was revealed by UAF Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Iqrar Ahmed Khan while addressing at a ceremony.

The status of top three universities was remained same and these are University of California Davis US, Wageningen University Netherland, Cornell University US. There were no Indian University among the top 200 universities. The QS team assessed around 2,858 universities and graded 678 institutions after evaluating 68 million documents.
 
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) also assessed the Pakistani Universities on the same pattern and University of Agriculture Faisalabad was remained top university with maximum score among the universities.

The University of Agriculture, Faisalabad established by upgrading the former Punjab Agricultural College and Research Institute, Lyallpur, in 1961-62. Since then the university is delivering quality of education in renovating national farming system and related activities to streamline the output and make them among the top universities of the world. The university got this distinction by adapting the means of teaching, science and research.
