HEC issues list of unrecognized universities

Islamabad: The list of all the private sector universities whom degrees will not be recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been released. Now all the students and their parents must ensure the status of the university before getting admission. The list of all the HEC’s recognized universities is available at ilmkidunya.com or at the official website of Higher Education Commission (HEC)
 
The officials of HEC have announced that the degree or certificates released by these institutions will not be accepted by HEC. The HEC has directed these institutions to contact to HEC so that NOC can be given. Before getting NOC, these institutes will not be able to start any academic activity including admission in any degree program.

My University, Islamabad, the Dar-ul-Madina International University, Islamabad, South Asian Strategic Institute University, Islamabad, Capital University, Islamabad, Pakistan Institute of Management, Karachi, Habib University Foundation, Karachi, Nazeer Hussain University, Karachi and Lal Shahbaz University, Karachi.
 
As many as146 universities or institutions from public and private sector in Pakistan have got recognition by Higher Education Commission (HEC). A complete list of approved universities or institutes is available at HEC website (www.hec.gov.pk).

It has been decided in light of the  judgment passed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, that the HEC will not recognize the degrees issued by the universities or institutes, which are operating without having the formal NOC from HEC. The students and their parents are requested to ensure the status of the university or institute from the website of the Higher Education Commission before seeking admission.
