Islamabad: Telenor Pakistan, in association along with the Beaconhouse School System, has officially broken the Guinness World Records entitled as the ‘Longest Chain of People Clasping Wrists’.

The sanctioned attempt to make the new world record took place on September 29th, 2016 at Jinnah Stadium Sports Complex Islamabad, where almost 2,950 partakers formed a human chain and kept it unbroken for 60 seconds.

The partakers involved the employees of Telenor Pakistan and the aspirants of Beacon house School System who formed the chain to show unity with Telenor Pakistan’s initiative to promote the safe usage of internet, particularly among the teenagers, as the company builds on its desire to provide ‘Internet for All'.

Making the world’s longest chain of people clasping wrists was the part of the activities performed on September 29th when Telenor Pakistan celebrated ‘Customer First Day’ for the 5th successive year.

To show up the conscientious use of internet, Telenor centred its annual day dedicated to the customers taking a stand for safe internet.

Besides breaking a world record, Telenor employees in 7 zones visited schools and public rings to brief and engage large number of children and parents about safe internet usage.

The Executive Director of Beaconhouse Nassir Kasuri shared his excitement over associating along with Telenor.

"We are grateful to Telenor Pakistan for associating with us to make this this Guinness World Records title. The vision of Telenor of on safe usage of internet is in line with our visions, and together we recruit to make consciousness regarding the safe internet usage also in our schools. Our apsirants must know how to keep safe the dignity of themselves as well as of others."
