Lahore: The aspirants from Islami Jamiat-e-Talaba (IJT) took to the streets on The Mall to protest against the ‘privatization’ of institutes, ban on student unions and disparities in the education system on Wednesday.

As per the students, the poor have been deprived of education due to this present system.

The students, many of whom were in their uniforms, raised slogans against the government and held banners and placards demanding a ‘fair’ education system.

While speaking at the rally, IJT Nazim-e-Aala Sohaib uddin Kakakhel stated that the government was closing the doors of educational institutes by privatizing the schools and colleges as well.

He threatened to attack the Punjab Assembly if the government did not change the education policy. Jamaat-e-Islami leader Hafiz Salman Butt was also present in the rally.
