Lahore: The investigation team of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Lahore (BISE Lahore) has concluded that the complete marking was done fairly for the intermediate part-I annual exams.
The investigation team consisting of four members set up by the board found that a very small percentage of the rechecked papers were needed to be marked.

According to the official of BISE Lahore board, almost 70k applications were received by BISE Lahore board, whereas some applications were of more than one subject. He also said that the sample of almost 10K papers was randomly selected for rechecking of received applications.
The official furthermore added that the committee had made a team of assistant professors and associate professors from the government sector of the city for this issue.
“The team has concluded in its report that most of the papers are marked fairly by the checkers,” the official said.

“Only for very low ratio of papers it can be said that the checkers strictly marked the papers. The report said that the board and checkers have fairly performed their duties.”
The official further said that the report will be presented soon to Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif after which a final decision will be taken.
The investigation team was made by Punjab CM to resolve the complaints of candidates of inter part-I.
Though, some students remain dissatisfy with their results. Osama Asif, a student of Punjab College, told the media sources that the students held a meeting on Sunday and decided that they will demand the board to re-check their papers that were marked by “junior” examiners.
They have also planned another protest in front of the Lahore Press Club for October 25th, 2016. The aspirants will demand the results be invalidated, papers be rechecked and then results be announced again.

The special committee investigated the results under the chairmanship of Punjab Additional Chief Secretary Shamail Ahmad Khawaja.
It included Chief Minister’s Inspection Team Chairperson Irfan Ali, Higher Education Department Secretary Captain (R) Naseem Nawaz, Higher Education Special Secretary Tahir Yousaf as well as Board Director of Punjab Information Technology General Waqar Naeem Qureshi.
