LAHORE: Terrorists can’t deter us from our journey to enlightenment. The massacre of innocent school-children in Peshawar has united us as nation and opened new vistas of national integration, peace and prosperity, said Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Khaleeq-ur-Rahman while addressing a condolence reference at the Government College University, Lahore in the memory of martyrs of terrorist attack in Army Public School in Peshawar. The Vice Chancellor hoped that sacrifice offered by the school children in Peshawar would go down in the history as a unique turning point which had bounded together the socio-political forces in the country.

 

The Vice Chancellor offered deep condolences to the bereaved parents and the relatives of martyred teachers and army personals. He condemned the brutal assassins who had no elegance to civilization, religion or ethics at all. He said that there could possibly be no justification for such heinous act which had shattered the strongest of persons without exception. He urged the students to not let their spirits be dampened ever and asked them to dedicate their best of energies for development of their country.

Students and teachers of also held a candlelight vigil to show solidarity with the martyred and grieved families.
