Karachi, Prof Dr Syed Faisal Ahmed Bukhari, Associate Professor, Department of Computer System Engineering, Sir Syed University of Engineering   & Technology (SSUET) has been nominated for the best university teacher award 2011 by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).

According to the information, the main award committee of HEC had nominated Bukhari in a meeting organized in January 2013. The award is comprised of a certificate and a cash prize of Rs 100,000 which will be given him at an award ceremony.

To get this award the individual must have minimum five years of continuous services as a regular teacher in a recognized university and must have MS/MPhil degree from a HEC recognized university. He should not be more than 65 years of maximum age and that the nomination should be made through vice chancellor and selection committee.

The selection was made by keeping in view the above factors and weight age to qualification, teaching, research and co-curricular activities and Dr Bukhari met these limitations from amongst the nominations received from SSUET.

The federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) has selected the University of Sindh (UoS) Jamshoro for the first FPCCI achievement award 2012 as the university has made achievements in the field of education and training.

President of FPCCI Haji Fazal Kadir Khan Sherani exposed this news in a letter written to the vice chancellor Prof. Dr. Nazir A. Mughal.
 
The University of Sindh is working to deliverhigher education and training with prodigious dedication and commitment. Due to its creditable facilities in the field of education and training, FPCCI has nominated it for achievement award 2012.
