FCC organized its Convocation

Forman Christian College has organized its convocation as well as distributed the degrees to 667 students graduated in different disciplines from FCC. There were approximately 589 Baccalaureate plus 78 masters as well as MPhil graduates. The graduate farewell speech was given by Ms Rabia Anjum, who secured the CGPA of 3.96 and Ms Yasra Naseer, an MPhil graduate, given the postgraduate speech. Furthermore, 25 medals were granted to the aspirants for attainments in their respective disciplines in the Bachelors program in addition 16 Certificates of Distinction were granted to top postgraduate students. 12 students were granted along with the brilliant Student Awards for their performance in co-curricular activities.

The Guest of honor, Governor Punjab, Mr. Malik Muhammad Rafique Rajwana congratulated the graduating aspirants as well as their parents. During his address he said that he is a strong believer that the graduating aspirants will give back to humanity and the country. He added that along with expertise in their respective fields, education was also required for becoming the good human beings as well as assisting the people in their need. He added that “This is what a university must also be teaching”, “and this is what Pakistan actually needs.”

In his starting speech, the principal of Forman Christian College Dr. James A. Tebbe said that it was a really proudly moment for the FCC University to have a “Formanite” as the Governor of Punjab. He also also displayed the exceptional gratitude towards the Government of Punjab for their continuous support towards Forman Christian College. He acknowledged the graduating class of 2015 and said that they all had worked so hard to get to this memorable day. Dr. Tebbe also said that FCC has delivered its graduates a nutritious experience to study as well as to work along with the aspirants from different backgrounds, religions and casts as well.

The other awardees at this convocation were Mohammad Adil Arshad, Assistant Professor of the Education Department, who was granting along with the brilliant Teacher Award; Mr Kamil Shamshad, Manager Financial Aid who was granted along with the brilliant Customer Service Award (Administrative) as well as Mr Sunil Chohan, Assistant to Director Operations, who was granted along with the brilliant Customer Service Award (Non-administrative).
