Quetta: Captain Roohullah embraced martyrdom on Tuesday in Quetta incident after he succumbed to his wounds in Combined Military Hospital (CMH).

As per the details, the captain belongs to Shabqadar, an area of Charsadda and was among the five army soldiers who were wounded during an attack on Police Training College in Quetta.

Captain Roohullah, who embraced martyrdom in the brutal attack, was laid to rest in his familial graveyard in Shabqadar.

The funeral prayer of the captain was attended by Corps Commander Peshawar Lieutenant General Hidayat-ur-Rehman as well as by other high rank officials.

The other four soldiers who were injured in the attack are still under-treatment whereas the officers are said to be in critical condition.

On Monday night, three gunmen from a Taliban-associated group burst into the police training college, targeting sleeping quarters that are home to almost 700 cadets.

Almost 61 people, most of them fresh trainees, were martyred and approximately 117 including five army soldiers sustained injuries.

The three terrorists including the two bombers were killed by security forces in operation.

Gallantry award announced for Shaheed-e-Millat

Meanwhile, chief of army staff, General Raheel Sharif on Tuesday has announced gallantry awards for Shaheed Captain Roohullah as well as Naib Subedar Muhammad Ali for their brave action during an anti-terrorist operation at Police training centre, Quetta.

As per the reports of ISPR, Captain Roohullah Shaheed will be awarded Tamgha-e-Jurrat while Naib Subedar will be awarded with Tamgha-e-Basalat.
